A fun beach read, albeit kinda slow and dated. I did appreciate learning about the effects tourism has had on Egyptian tombs and monuments. I wasn’t crazy about the main character.

Not quite as good as some of her other novels, it was harder for me to get into these characters and I didn't care for Vicky as much as I like Amelia Peabody. I'm not really sure what the difference is either. Oh, well I guess I can't always like everything an favored author has written.

Sooooooo good that I stayed up much later than I should have finishing the entire thing. My favourite Vicky Bliss of the series yet.

This book makes it clear that what Peters writes best about (and clearly loves to write about most) is Egypt. Vicky Bliss is a fun character but this one dragged for me. Makes a great beach read.
