This was relatable but I didn’t really like how things ended up with the other two people. Idk

4★: CUTESY STORY THAT I'D LET MY PRE-TEEN DAUGHTER READ. Good book on young friendship. That is all.

This is everything I could want out of a book and more. The internal dialogue reminded me of Perks or Twilight (both of which hold such a dear spot in my heart), and wow, it really just touched my heart in so many ways. This is definitely one of the best graphic novels I’ve read to date:))

Whereas a lot of graphic novels seem to scrape the surface of a compelling story, The Greatest Thing is exactly what it needs to be- fragile, authentic, emotional, awkward, and full of depth. It's a graphic novel based on Sarah Searle's life, and you can tell- it just feels that real and emotional, encapsulating a teenage experience of anxiety, loneliness, the angst of navigating what even is a crush, new friends, and art making. Sometimes the scariest unknowns are the ones imbedded in your own life.
