Nothing earthshaking, touching or engaging for me. I plodded through this admittedly short book. So good points but not what I was expecting.

The School of Life mériterait un Nobel pour le travail effectué à aider à comprendre notre monde.
"The good news is that we likely know how to choose correctly even when we're not doing so deliberately. For humans are drawn towards those who help them grow; the message from Whyte, Schnarch and Fromm is that partner choice is the way we actively, though often unconsciously, choose to mature."

Smart, compassionate and witty. Also helpful. I'm excited to read other books I the series if they are as good as this one.

Very practical, grounded advice on how to think about and approach romantic relationships. A little on the academic side, though still easily accessible. Draws on many literary and pop culture references to use as examples.
