Jambudivipa is an excellent historical book ravel with mystery and philosophy. After a really long time, I came across a book that was too good to put down where author vocabulary is the cherry on the cake. Each person from this story was relatable especially Vasantsena. I have related to this book much more than any other book dropping it in the must-read category.

Set in the ancient land of India, It is a story of warrior prince Yashodhamman of Mallis, ruler of Ujjani. The detailed narrative of the various kingdoms. This book ravels the mystery and philosophy at a very slow pace. The bright description of nature, following kingdoms, incidence, etc makes it a very detailed read but if you enjoy history, fiction, and mystery with a little bit of philosophy then this book is your bae

Jambudvipa will take you back to the ancient history of India. It is a blend of mythology, history as well as a mystery set in Jambudvipa, an ancient civilisation of India.

The story revolves around Yashodhamman, a warrior. It will take you through his childhood and audacity.
I won’t be writing much about the story as I want you to read and explore it yourself.

The way the author has narrated the story is mind-blowing. Every single reference about the history of India is well described. The story is amazing, I really liked it. The characterisation is also very nice. The book will keep you hooked till the end.

Recommended to beginners, history and mythology lovers.

Jambudvipa is a story set in ancient india, where the story is focused on a warrior prince of mallis who, named yashoddhaman who was clear and tormented with perpetual exotic vision in advance for something bad that is awaiting him in the near future.

Bodhidharma was summoned to train the prince in the warfare , since there is a war coming on their way.

Then there’s a warrior, vasantsena who was rescued from a still spine chilling societal atrocity “sati” by bodhidharma, whose character was designed and developed throughout is quite relatable.

The research the author has done is quite evident from the insights provided in the book throughout about ancient India. somehow somewhere i felt, i was reading a beautiful folklore that no one ever narrated to me.

The story is well crafted with a slow pace, (which was suitable for me) with an engaging and deep narrative. This book, on the whole, makes a good beginner's read from indian folklore and historical fiction genre.

Set in Ancient India, this is a story of a warrior prince Yashodhamman and his development to make him a better ruler so he can safeguard his kingdom from the unfavorable. Because there is going to be a conflict, Bodhidharma, the cloud rider, is summoned to train the prince for combat.

There is also the story of Vasantsena, running parallel here. She was saved from the dreadful social horror known as "sati" by Bodhidharma. Her transformation forms a greater part of the novel.

The writing style perfectly supports the plot with rich descriptions of the lands of the ancient times. The novel is spiritual in many aspects.

The book has interesting rituals and training sessions.
The plot moves at a steady, but somehow slow pace, which requires PATIENCE. And I also felt that the narrative was slightly repetitive in some places.

If you like mythology, this is a great addition to your shelf.
This work is an evidence of Author's deep research and dedication.
