The prose was, at times, grotesque: "Diana's pearl-like teeth emerged between her small, full lips as they stretched upward in pleasure."

The character I could tell the author adored was the character I despised for her selfishness.

Sommerlektüre.
Godbersen hat es geschafft, Charaktere zu schaffen, die mir so dermaßen egal sind, dass mich kein Schicksalsschlag nur zum Schulterzucken bewegen konnte. Bewundernswert.

I'm glad this series is finally over, because it was really starting to annoy me. The series can be summed up as things go wrong for everyone, over and over and over again. Also, there are lots of fancy dresses made of fabrics I can't pronounce. And don't forget the clavicles; there are lots and lots of clavicles (although there was only one mention of clavicles in this last book; finally an editor stepped in).

And yet, given all of what I've written above, I still give the book 3 stars. This type of writing might be the twinkie of books, but it's enjoyable every once in a while.

I hated the ending SO MUCH. After all the build up of the past 3 books only
Spoiler to have Diana and Henry not end up together was like WHAT. But I was so happy when Teddy and Elizabeth got together. That made my heart so happy. The plot twist in this book though was really good. Didn't at all expect it.
