Even though I've read all of Shakespeare's works multiple times, it is very difficult to keep track of them. I've read this book once and decided not to add all of Shakespeare's work separately. This is a very nice copy and you can find literally everything about Shakespeare including all of his sonnets.
PS: I've added some of the plays separately because I've read them in Turkish.

One of my favorite books of all time. I love reading Shakespeare while watching his televised plays on my tiny TV while cozy in my bed. Richard II, Henry IV Part 2, Henry V, and Richard III have to be my favorite plays in the book. Romeo and Juliet was too dramatic for me and is, therefore, my least favorite play.
The book itself is an older version, so the pages have that aged smell to it that brings me a sense of nostalgia. I love it!

Ok I think that's gonna be it for 2k16. That's a total of 10 including rereads (ok I was at 98 so I added on a play we read in school and a 100 page joke book but hey they still count!), 55 without. So, either way I reached my goal of 50 books. Successful reading year, good job me. Honwards to 2k17!

I tend to give dramatic works three stars, based on the fact that so much is determined by the director, the cast, etc. Not all of these plays and poems are great, and despite all the academic upheaval over biography and authorship, this collection is worth its weight in metaphorical gold. (it really is quite heavy)

These are a must read. Some are good, some are bad, but people should read them anyways.
My grade 12 teacher told us, "Classics are books that everyone wants to have read, but that nobody wants to read." I know that this quote is not theirs, but was taken from somewhere else.
Update: the quote is from "The Disappearance of Literature" speech, 20 November 1900 by Caleb Thomas Winchester (1847-1920), librarian of Connecticut Wesleyan University from 1869 - 1885 and Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature there from 1873 - 1920.

Okay - may not have read EVERYTHING in here, but I went through a phase in high school/early college that accounts for well over half.

I love Shakespeare's works (some of them anyway) and I just love reading his English. It's at least understandable (whereas Chaucer is not, for me. xD) I bought this version (leather and gold-edged) when I saw it because I just couldn't keep my paws off!
It is wonderfully printed, and I just love leafing through the pages and reading a passage from this play, from that sonnet.
It's a great collectors edition to own!

Read a lot in college, seen a lot of productions of the plays, read some of the sonnets and haven't read all of his works, but then unless you are a Shakespeare scholar there are some plays that aren't the most interesting like Titus Andronicus or Trollius and Cressida.
