This was as sweet as an MC romance can get while still being MC romance. Axel and Bailey were polar opposites with Axel being a kind of wild, loud, outgoing, jokester, and Bailey being more considered and measured because of her unsafe, unsecured, stressful upbringing where she found herself in the role of a parent to her zany, addicted mom from an early age. Nonetheless, I felt that they were a good match. I felt the chemistry and the friendship and their relationship felt solid. I think the author writes the heavy themes of being thrown away by biological family and the strength of found family really well. She did it in the first book in this series as well. I think it also fits really well with the brotherhood context of the MC club which is really ultimately about found family. I overall liked this even though I think the ball was dropped somewhat on what was set up to be a strong romantic suspense plot with the trafficking ring. More could definitely have been done with that and it felt very much like the author was done with the story and just gave all that build up a vague conclusion embedded in a few sentences in the epilogue.
