My lack of enjoyment of this story takes nothing away from Pam as the uber talented author she is. I have a hard time with certain subject matter but Pam has tackled Stockholm Syndrome before and had me cheering like a mad woman. Sadly, Take didn't effect me in the same way. I didn't hate it but wasn't raving either. It is a very relationship centered novel and I found myself wanting more plot and intrigue. Most of that happened late in the story and I would've liked more of it through out the story.

The thing about this series is that you don’t really know who is good and who is bad. The good guys could turn into bad guys and guess what the baddest baddies sometimes turn out to be teddy bears.
Tiago Badell can never ever be described as a teddy bear. He is bad to the bone. Van Quiso did win my affection but Tiago did not. I didn’t like him when I met him and I still don’t like him but if I was in a gun fight I would like him to be by my side. Just don’t let him near me with his razor finger, I like my skin the way it is.
Kate is a beauty but she didn’t make me love her in the way that Liv or Lucia did. I did fall for the good doctor Boones. Loved him to pieces.
The series does continue to astound me, thrill me and make me feel scared in equal measures. I’m so eager to get in on the Martin and Ricky love.

If you think the first 4 books were dark you are up for a ride on this one!! It will turn your emotions around, with disgust to sorrow to extreme pain mentally...
Take is another dark romance. Tiago kidnaps Kate one of the freedom fighters, to show Lucia and Tate, if they take what's his he will take one of there's... Kate is stuck with her captor, Tiago stuck with his victim while he heals..
In the midst something dangerous brews up amongst them...
I really loved how Pam wrote this story especially Tiagos emotions and thought, I felt abit of campassion from him regarding Tate, which made my hatred for him turn around. Also love the growth of Kate.
Anyone want to read a book full of raw, disgust, intense scenes and a great ending this it for you..
