Giving this book a 4 out of 5 purely because at the end of each part it felt rushed. The majority of the book was building the story up and I understand that but the plot and endings of both parts were too quick. I wanted more juice and confrontation between Max and Pip, I wanted the scene of her being kidnapped by Jason to have more “murder” like scenes. More violence you could say. Nevertheless, it was a very good book. It’s made me want to ready more serial killer novels - even ones based on true events.

This was so good, I couldn’t put it down! I stayed up late reading probably the whole last half, and then I cried. Holly Jackson can really write a tense crime story!
