This was a melodramatic but surprisingly fun twist on the Phantom of the Opera. Note that this book contains spice, Erik remains a bundle of red flags, and mind the trigger warnings.

I enjoyed the beginning of this story, but didn't like the direction it took in the second half of the book.
The 'happy' ending didn't feel earned or deserved and kind of tacked on.
For my personal tastes Erik and Christine had way too many issues and were really not able to successfully communicate them and talk it out like adults.
