I thought the rhymes were a bit clunky, but this is a super cute picture book.

It was sweet. I think I liked the art a lot more than I liked the words.

I found this book on publishers weekly 2020 list of LGBTQ books. This book shows two moms spending a day with their young child. At each place they visit, they create a visual to show how each person/thing has someone or something that is their perfect match. While I really loved the idea of this book and the inclusivity of it, the repetitiveness quickly became a little bit boring for me. I am not sure that this book could really hold the attention of my young kids very long!

I could see how you could use this book in primary grades to teach children about inclusivity from a relatively implicit stance but I'm not sure how much authentic conversation it would really create as a read-aloud. I think this would be a great book to have in your classroom library to increase diversity and allow students access to different characters.

Lovely illustrations. Easy to read, lots of rhyming and a very sweet sentiment. Would make for a good bedtime story.

I think this book really serves a wonderful role in normalizing non-heteronormative families. It doesn't preach or explain why there are two mommies. It just shows them living out their day-to-day life as a happy, healthy family. The toddler is clearly well-loved and in a good situation.

It's too bad LGBTQIA+ couples have a harder time adopting children. Think of how many children could have families and parents instead of spending their entire lives in the foster care system until they age out.
