A fairly simple concept; a collection of dnd-ish characters that the author/artist has invented, is made all the more intriguing by the little tidbits of backstory each one gets. Hints of bigger connected stories start to emerge. And there is some exploration of deep themes such as mental illness among the characters. Overall it's still fairly shallow though
