I really enjoyed Who I Was With Her

I really really wanted to like this book. The blurb sounded good and I really wanted a heart wrenching story, but this wasn’t it for me.

I didn’t like any of the characters very much (especially Corinne), and not once did I feel for her in this book. I was able to understand what she was going through and such, but I never connected with it. The themes in this book are important and I’m glad they were written, but the story itself didn’t make me feel anything.

For 90% of the book I was bored and annoyed and almost put it down at one point because I wanted to punch almost all of the characters. The characters and the repetitiveness of Corrine’s inner dialogue and what she does, was played out too much.

Again, I really wanted to like this book, but I won’t remember any of it in a month unfortunately. In my opinion, it wasn’t relatable (in my personal experience), and I couldn’t connect with anything.

Add this to the list of books I read in a day because I couldn't bear to put them down.
