Dual timeline, dual perspective, and a slow, twisted, unraveling of what occurred to bring a family to pack up and relocate. I went into this book knowing nothing about it except being drawn to the cover. The cover work is a perfect representation of the inside contents. I thoroughly enjoyed parts of the book, saw other parts coming a mile away, and parts of it I was a bit disappointed by. The beginning is unclear and confusing, things not explained, scenes and sentences cut short, but that was exactly the reading experience the author intended.

I kinda
Spoilerguessed the plot twist [I put this in spoiler tags because just knowing there is one makes it easy to guess]
pretty early on in the book, but it was still nice to read. Teenage girl dynamics are always gonna be my thing.
