Love all of Abbi's books.
This one was no exception.
Was surprised with the little twists but kept me intrigued to the end.
Bring on the next book - surprised there was no teaser at the end to hint who was next.... maybe Eli...

I've had time to dwell on my feelings since skim-finishing this book and I'm not too sure why these books are even being written. I felt like I had already read this book, mainly because I find Abbi's books in both the Seabreeze and Rosemary Beach worlds the exact same. Same type of characters, same story lines, etc.
I also think Abbi needs to educate herself on how birth control works because honey.
Oh, Honeeey!

I'm a big fan of the Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach series, so when these two series were being combined to make a crossover series I couldn't wait. Because of Lila is the second book in this series and I really love not only getting to see old faces and catch up with them, but also seeing what their children are up to now. It didn't take me long to read Because of Lila, once I'm in this world again then there is no escaping until I've finished reading. I love the plot and although I wasn't too fussed on Lila initially, I did warm up to her and could understand why she acted the way she did. The ending of this book wasn't what I expected but I was happy to see things change.

after having read almost every book Glines has written, I had noticed lately that the endings were rushed and it wasn't as great as her prior novels. Although this one was much more satisfying. It ending wasn't as rushed, and it was cute. I will say that the Blurb was misleading, I thought this was Lila & Eli's story. I'd say for future reference, at least give the indication of a love triangle and mention Cruz more in the description.

Keep them coming!
I love that the Rosemary Beach/Sea Breeze series have continued. I love seeing the old characters grown up and the new characters as teens/grown ups now. These apples don't fall far from the tree.

I loved Lila's story. I already loved her parents in the previous book so I was 100% emotionally attached. The book had all the emotional ups and downs with the funny humour fitted in to make it light-hearted The ending though gutted me and I'm dying for the other children's books.

I saw so many horrible reviews of this, and they all complained about how Lila Kate's character was trite. To be honest, that didn't bother me much and is pretty typical of Ms. Glines' novels. However, I was incredibly disappointed with the way a situation of sexual coercion was treated at the end of the story. There was hardcore victim blaming and I expect more out of the fictional world.
