Short tale from the Grishaverse

A short sad tale about the Darkling in his youth, featuring his mother. Gives a little more insight to how the Darkling came to be.

Small sympathetic news on the childhood of Darkling, hundreds of years before the beginning of the history of Shadow and Bone, one finds there a character completely different, lost and weak who seeks a home.
The story is nice, realistic and totally corresponds to what one would have expected from the childhood of a man who spent his life looking for someone like him and building a country capable of accepting the Grishas.

A small glimpse into the Darkling and Baghra's life when he was just a teenage boy and both were looking for a safe place for Grisha.
