The first book in the anthology has an interesting plot with good sci-fi elements that were progressive for the time. The second part of this anthology is very thin on the plot and development, with a lot of unnecessary plotlines.
However, I found any plot development was overshadowed by the constant sexist remarks and unnecessary descriptors of female characters. Some descriptions of women scientists are very cringe-worthy, one of them called 'de-sexed' and the authors go out of their way to highlight her unattractiveness and how it's the reason for her focusing on her work. A few disturbing scenes as well, for instance a woman appearing to suddenly embrace what amounts to assault and another woman seen as particularly attractive because she's drunk and appear basicall incapacitated.

Graphic: Misogyny
Minor: Racism and Sexual assault
