This book will make you fear rats. Love the gruesome events in this book and a perfect ending to carry onto The Lair.

3.5 stars. Almost want to give it 4. I couldn’t stop reading this. It was intense and uncomfortable as any good horror book should be.

The misogyny and sexualisation of children took away from any good tension and plot. Hoping that the disgusting main character would be used as a device, I persisted, only to be disappointed.

Quote "Two giggling girls, both in short skirts, both with bouncing breasts, both about fourteen years old, flounced past. 'Anyway, the crumpet' s good.' Harris smiled to himself."
