I read this book back in 2013 (when I was 11/12) on iBooks after one of my drs recommended it during/after my initial rounds of testing for school, and I highlighted things on there and made notes but after over nearly a decade of updates they no longer work and they just don’t link right.

End of last year I bought and started re-reading/annotating ‘The reason I jump’ and I really felt seen by parts of this book. I personally don’t enjoy David’s contributions to the book and felt like it would’ve been better without it (I couldn’t even finish his introduction) however at the end of the day I think everyone should read this at some point in your life time, if you are autistic or not I think it is a fantastic resource to see a little bit of what it can be like to be autistic or possibly feel validated in your own experiences; that being said it is still only a single persons experiences so it is not an end all be all resource however it is a fantastic intro to the brain of an autistic person.
