This was a really quick read I did for my book club! I basically went in blind, not knowing at all what the book was about, and I actually ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would!
The book follows Lottie, who was fired by her “best friend” Angela and is now unemployed and in need of a place to stay and some money ASAP. As a result of her desperation, she puts on her tightest shorts and sports bra and heads out to jog in The Flats (the rich neighbourhood) to potentially find her rich husband who will put an end to all her problems. Cue Huxley Cane, 34 year old HOT billionaire who she literally– and I mean literally– runs into during her jog around The Flats. Turns out Huxley needs her help just as much as she needs his. Since she has no other choice and no one else to turn to, she ends up accepting Huxley’s deal.
Soo.. when I first started reading this book, I wasn’t that into it. The beginning was a bit slow for me, and I found the writing a little bit too cheesy/cringey. Once I got to around chapter 10 or so, it picked up ALOT and I started to love it. I literally couldn’t put the book down!! I loved reading about Huxley and Lottie. And the spice!! Oh my goodness the SPICE!! The spice in this book is on another level! From chapter 10 onwards I absolutely loved everything about this book!
After reading this book, I definitely want to read the other two books in this series which follows Huxley’s brothers. Meghan Quinn definitely knows how to write a spicy novel & I’m totally here for it!!

It was a book. It was okay written and didn't have any plot holes I could tell which gets it half of a 5 star. But nothing really did it for me so it never got any higher. The characters didn't grab me, they weren't very deep, neither was the relationship (which was 70% based solely of finding the other person attractive), the plot seemed silly, oh and I hate it when writers use cock and pussy in their scenes. I'm a way bigger fan of innuendo or just how someone is made to feel cause the vulgar words are just cringe. Whenever an author uses those words in the first book of theirs I read, I will never read another.

That was fricking adorable. I love this style of writing for a rom-com.
