As I've mentioned in previous volumes of this series I've watched the anime show but yet when I'm reading it I still get amazed by the sudden twist of events in the manga like when 'L' was in the same entrance exam as Light just astonishing. Hideki Ryuga ah what a convincing name. Sakura TV name just reminds me of Sakura from Naruto. There is a new girl in town and I will discover all about her in the next volume.

"Hard Run" might be my favorite in the series. It's been quite a few years, so I don't remember if it was my actual favorite. However, I can't think of a better entry to the series. It has the intense tennis match, a direct reveal, and things really heat up with the incident at Sakura TV. This is one that I can't really give too much away, but trust me, it's brilliant. There's also a bit of satire with just how far media will go for ratings. It goes back to what I said in an earlier review about social commentary. Once you think about it, there are quite a few comments being made here that tie in with U.S. culture, too.
