WOW. So many feels. So much action and potential. I’m captivated and terrified at the same time for what’s next.

I do love the Lynches and the Hennessy clan here and am certainly curious for more, though not addicted or anything.

Glad I took so long to read this cuz now I don’t have to wait for the second one xD
God I love Ronan. This book was amazing. I can’t wait to get started on the next one.
I might need to read “The Raven Cycle” series again, but this series might rival that one in my mind as a favorite. We’ll see.
I love the snark and the wit. Lol’d so many times at Ronan’s snark. It’s the best.

I guess I’m just not a fan of the stories MS tells. I love her writing but the books are so boring.
For example, this book started off okay but the plot was so weird that I couldn’t get into it. I didn’t care for the Raven Boys but the oddity of this plot had me actually missing the original 4 Raven Boys. Rowan was my favorite of the four (if I had to pick) but I didn’t much care for him in this installment and I’m not sure why. It was fun to “see” Adam and Gansey again but the magic they had in the prior series was lost to me in this one.

Third time reading/listening. My heart breaks for Declan every time.

man this was so disappointing :( I adored the raven cycle fully and entirely because of the character dynamics and the banter surrounded by beautiful writing, and this was just Not It for me. I found most of the characters kinda bland and boring, I missed the banter, and I guess I just didn't really care about anything that was happening. big SAD

Okay, first of all. I would die for Ronan Lynch. He was my favorite character in The Raven Cycle. Like, it wasn't even a close contest. He was my favorite, without any hesitation.
This book is NOT The Raven Cycle. And it's genuinely better for it.
Don't get me wrong, Ronan is still Ronan, in all his imperfect perfection. But this story belongs to him, in a way The Raven Cycle never did or could have. We barely even get snatches of the rest of the TRC crew here, and it's better for it. I loved every single one of those idiots to pieces, but this is Ronan's story.
I loved the new cast of characters, and the returning characters we get so much more depth to. Loved them. So. Damn. Much. (MAGGIE HOW DID YOU MAKE ME LOVE DECLAN THIS MUCH???)
I love...just, god, ALL OF THE THINGS. I want to scream about everything, but I also refuse to spoil it for anyone, so I'll just leave it at that. SO MUCH LOVE.
I have one very large complaint. Only one. And that is I was an idiot who read this the day it came out and NOW I MUST WAIT FOREVER FOR THE NEXT BOOK OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD
