Buns is the third book in the Hudson Valley series and they can all be read as stand-alone books.
I started reading this book in the afternoon and just like all previous books by Alice Clayton that I have read so far, I wasn't able to put it down. I absolutely loved Clara and Archie together.
This book is funny, sweet, romantic and emotional.
I highly recommend this book series.
I give this 5 out of 5.

Why am I reading romance novels by Alice Clayton? Because [b:Wallbanger|15858248|Wallbanger (Cocktail, #1)|Alice Clayton|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1352205960s/15858248.jpg|21607771] rocked my world with humor and sizzling chemistry. But after that all of the other novels written by her merge into one big MEH pile.
Buns was not bad, but there was nothing attention-grabbing about it either. It took half the story for me to start caring about the main couple.

I just want to say that I went into it with a lot of exceptions but I don't know, every book in this series feels a bit similar and I was hoping this would be different than other books.

The second book in the series is still my favorite but this was cute too.

A fun finale to this series. I’m a little disappointed that Clara never got to taste the famous “hot cross buns,” but who am I? Lol

I think the main characters fell a little flat for me. There just wasn’t enough story. We should have seen the mc’s interact a bit more. The time jumps weren’t really noticeable, so it seemed like they fell in love very quickly. Actually, the whole thing seemed like a rebound for Archie. I just don’t see this couple having staying power.

Okay first off, it has cherry references in it!
Sold!
No but seriously I loved this pair of characters!
Clara & Archie are...
Bun out of the oven HOT!!!
The sexual tension was off the charts.
I was enraptured by the head strong, stubborn and devoted Clara Morgan & Archie Bryant when it came to their jobs & their love life.
Their back and forth with each other of deny their feelings is what makes this story such a great read.
This story of course has tons of humor, sexy times, angst, nice surprises that yes, YOU will be in shock when you read this book on what or who may appear!
After reading, I want to take a trip to upstate New York & stay at a B&B hotel overlooking the beautiful landscapes and fall in love while rereading this book.
Go One click this & be ready to have your fingers dripping in sweet sticky deliciousness in the Hudson Valley Series!

I feel kike being taken into virtual vacation with Buns. And with all this pandemic isolation, it is not bad idea.
Buns takes us to the mountain side hotel where old tradition still lives. The center of the story is about blending new and old into something beautiful and homey.
The story takes more about tradition and history. I want more of the chemistry between Archie and Clare.
Overall I do like this story OK

I'll give this a four because I did enjoy the writing. I really didn't like Clara as a character. She was too indecisive and that really began to grate on me. I don't think she deserved her happy ending after the way she treated Archie.
