This started off slow. I was about to DNF due to pure boredom, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. It slowly started turning into a romance worth reading and I loved it. All up until we got to part two. It should have just ended there but for some reason, the author decided to keep going. I felt that part two was just long winded and over explained for no reason. But that wasn’t the worst part. The worst came at the end when he decided to proclaim his love…. on TikTok. That absolutely killed any momentum this story had for me. I was able to work through a lot of the cringiness of this book but that just ended it all for me.

swoony and heartfelt

I devoured this book. The character development the chemistry between the characters. The best spin on a brothers best friend trope. I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down

“Loving her is like—like taking on the biggest wave you’ve ever seen and sticking it. When she laughs, when she needs me—fuck, man. All of it. She’s my dream wave.”

3.5 stars.

This wasn't bad at all, I enjoyed it quite a bit, and I especially like Cooper's character, I just feel like the while fake dating should've been a little shorter and did not need to last the entire book and that the third act break up could've easily been avoided.. one of the worst miscommunications I read if I'm being honest, and I'm not even one of the people who hates this trope!
