So my lovely friend @britbensonwrites was gracious enough to let me beta read her debut novel and let me tell you, she knocked it out of the park.
You guys know how much I love my dark, taboo, forbidden romances, but every so often, my heart wants a good feel good romance.
Now, I will say, best friend's to lovers is NOT my jam, at least not typically. I'm more of an enemies to lovers fan, but Brit did such a good job writing this one and I positively loved it.
Especially for this to be her debut novel, I was positively blown away. So basically what I'm trying to say, is when this puppy releases, you need to run and grab it because it's perfection!
Also, these characters are perfection! Ivy is such a strong woman and refuses to let anyone hold her back. Kelley is the sweetest, swooniest man in the world. And don’t get me started on Bailey and Jesse! They are the best “side” characters in the world and I can’t wait for their story!
Brit, thanks for letting me beta your book baby! I hope my edit did it justice! ILYSM.

I don’t read a lot of friends to lovers, it usually doesn’t have that push and pull that I’m seeking in the pages of a book.
Luckily, Benson understood the assignment.
Ivy and Kelley clearly needed to be in each other’s lives, and while they were playing the part assigned, it wasn’t enough for either of them.
I loved how it was acknowledged, crossing the line with your best friend, and how they worked for it.
Definitely recommend this one!

In love with Ivy & Kelley!

I’ve never loved a friends to lovers couple more! This authors debut novel is incredible. The story is packed full of angsty goodness and you’ll fall for this couple right from the start. I enjoyed that even though they were high school friends (now I’m college) they had their own stories separately as well. Their lives and the side characters stories wove together really well. Ivy is an strong leading lady and if you love a dirty talker Kelley will be your next favorite.

Definitely grab this book for a great read!

My first friends to lovers romance. I really liked this couple. There's some aspects to the writing that maybe wasn't the best but it was her first novel so I think that's to be expected. Quite hot at parts but not full of spice.
