Cute but moved Super fast. Would’ve benefited from more development in several areas, particularly the secondary conflict. I also would’ve loved to see more of Brody’s family.

They say things happen for a reason. Robin is determined to put her past behind her. Freeing herself of her ex and remove the botched tattoo he so graciously bestowed on her. New beginnings.

In charge of her own destiny she takes a leap of faith with a man who she has an instant connection with. Brody is passionate and only has her best interests at heart.

Their relationship certainly has its ups and downs. Many obstacles stand in their way. Secrets and shocking truths help them navigate their future and what a beautiful future they have.

Really like the shifters in their 40s concept. The characters seemed much more mature and sure of their decisions and it was refreshing.

With that said, I felt like I missed the entire story. So much of this story is glossed over. They meet and it's insta-love on one side, with the other side following one date later. They only see each other a couple times before they're both already feeling extremely strong feelings. She also takes to being turned into a wolf easily and is way chill about it. I'm a little torn because I like that she didn't waver forever and drag it out, but I also felt that it all happened too quickly. This entire story takes place over a week or so. Maybe a little longer than that. A LOT is skipped, and the transitions between time on page were awkward and happened from one paragraph to another. We didn't get to see this relationship develop, it just did, and that was so sad for me because I wasn't really invested in them by the end.

We get Brody's story after meeting him previously. He and Robin have chemistry from the moment they meet each other. I love that they meet as he is helping her cover up the tattoo of her ex. Helping Robin get over that part of her life made me like Brody even more. I enjoyed the backstories and outside conflict within their story to keep me interested.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
