This is such an important book. Changing the perspective of slavery can help us realize how important it is to continue to be anti-racist and to fight for reparations for our Black siblings who have been hurt by us and our ancestors.

Bernardine Evaristo is one of my favourite authors... and she smashed it with this novel. It has the perfect balance between humour and seriousness. Evaristo doesn't shy away from important topics to be discussed, and I'm glad she adds her literary touch to them.
I would 100% recommend this book to anyone.

This was a really well done what if universe. I liked how all the characters were connected. I enjoyed the writing and everything really
