Loved the movie and finally read the book (better than the movie of course)
Beautifully written, good storyline, real characters, full on emotions and wisdom

The best part of the story is hearing about Kya's collection of specimens from the marsh.  I also appreciated that the book's ending was far more surprising than the movie depicted.

Super tragic backstory that makes you fall in love with the main character. So many plot twists at the end; I could not take my eyes off of this book! 10/10 would recommend for people over the age of 15.

Beautiful descriptive language but falls behind in dialogue (also not a fan of the author, upon further research. Makes the plot of this book too on the nose)
