I bought this book my junior year of high school and didn’t get around to reading it until this year. I loved this book and Ned had an amazing ability at making lighthearted and witty jokes to bring light into dark situations. Ned Vizzini is incredibly missed.manonschuur's review
2.5
However, the main character and Ned Vizzini himself only stayed 5 days in a psych hospital. I really don't think that 5 days is enough to treat severe depression like the ones Craig and Ned Vizzini had.
And I thought the book had more emotion, but honestly, the whole story felt kind of flat for me.
Moderate: Transphobia, Sexism, and Mental illness
