this is short and nasty! it might not have been a very strong read for me but the horror of the central premise, unique visuals, and short length carried it for me.

This was an easy little read that I’d recommend to anyone who has dabbled in horror or scary stories but doesn’t want a long commitment- it focuses mainly on Phil and the events in his maybe changed life and it definitely moved quickly through it!

Very much enjoyed this. Although it felt a but wordy and flowery at parts, overall it was a tight, fast paced little cosmic horror.

I loved this book.
You follow Phil, a man who has never wanted children, who suddenly finds himself a single father with a child he's never seen before in his life. Not only that, everyone around him keeps telling him how he's always had this child and has raised them since the day they were born.
This is a quick read, but is packs a pretty good sized punch. It does very good at building worry and dread. It also had one of my fav scenes I've read in a long time...
"Goodnight, Daddy."
"Goodnight, son."
If you know, then you know.
