Enjoyed the art, but found the rest a little weak. Maybe would have enjoyed more if I had read the first one?

This is the second novel for the character who started life as a T-shirt design. It is more conventionally structured than the first book where the reader and Emily are dropped in at the deep end from page 1. A comparatively slow build-up leads to a big problem for Emily; herself. Yep, the reader is faced with a variation of that terrible cliche, the Evil Twin!

This being Emily, though, the fun is as much in the Strangeness as anything and Evil Emily is still Strange...

Perhaps not as much fun as my first encounter with Emily, in The Lost Days, where amnesia abounds and I knew as little about Emily as she did, partly because I am now familiar with the character and the design ethos, but still very worthwhile.
