Continues to be one of the most relevant comics currently. Just wish it was published more consistently.

A follow up arc better than the first, I was stunned to read the end of this and find out there is no direct follow up yet. I feel I need to know what’s next, but have no hopes to find out soon.

Better than vol. 1 for me. Enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next volume.

I don't remember a whole lot from the first volume, and there are no "catch ups," but that's not a bad thing. The story is still strong, the women are still powerful, and the themes are still painfully relatable. I am very excited to see the direction they take with the transgender women.
As in the previous volume, the ads are amazing- my favorite being for "Misandry Cosmetics": "Sweep on this luxe liner for dramatic, smoky, playful eyes that hide your secret agenda, and make you look like a cat. IS IT WEIRD THAT YOU SHOULD LOOK LIKE A CAT?! NO! Because everyone knows that cats are girls and dogs are boys and dogs are nice and honest and friendly and cats are mean and manipulative and HOT LIKE FIRE." :D Amazing!

It's possible that I like the backmatter more than the actual comic. It's so good! If you can, I highly recommend buying the individual issues, because that stuff isn't in the TPB and you're missing out. It effectively triples (quadruples? quintuples? exponentially increases!) the value of the book. So good.

I loved this volume even more than the previous one, not because they're different in quality but because volume one is all about the world beating you down whereas volume two is about fighting the hell back. I love how complementary the two volumes are combined and how you can appreciate the contrasts of the character's lives from one volume to another.
This volume was completely brutal, incredibly timely and utterly subversive. The intensity and emotion on its pages are palpable and will make you furious but will also make you think. Also, the artwork is just out of this world and it continues to blow my mind.
Such an important read.

Packed full of interesting commentary. I probably would've enjoyed this more if I read it at a different time. I thought I was excited to read it, but I never got into it the way I did with the first one.
