Okay so this is how you make Superman an interesting character again! Lois is more like the Lois from All-Star Superman than damsel in distress. Jon Kent is adorable and earnest. You can definitely tell he was raised by Lois and Clark. I haven't actually read much of the New 52 Superman books, but I don't think it really affected me too much. There is a bit of Death of Superman nostalgia, but it wasn't too overt.

I'm very interesting to see where this is going to go. They completely sold me in this vol. on Superman being a family man(I really love it, it fits his character so well), super boy is a pretty strong character, and Louis hijacks Batman's hell-bat bot suit of armor to fight a villian.
I'm hoping the next vol. will cover a bit more on superman teaching super boy things about his powers. I'm wondering since super boy is half what kinda powers he will even have. This issue hinted that his powers could be changing or maybe even unreliable?! The story is pretty good, I'm a little more interested on the dynamics of the family and even how the justice league will be in the future. The artwork was really great through out this whole book. ~Ashley

A quick and enjoyable read, so i just got done reading a teen titans volume that had a clone and Jon who was super evil, but I like this growing story better.

It was ok. The last half was just one long fight with The Eradicator, and not a particularly interesting fight. They punched each other on the moon.

New Superman and son fight the Eradicator. Nice to read these concurrently with the Action Comics Rebirth run, as they highlight different aspects of the characters. This title has a more Kent family focused feeling, as opposed to the Metropolis focused arcs of Action

This was recommended to me as a great place to start with Superman comics; the volume 1 and rebirth title were promising. But this is not a book for beginners. It opens with an alternate universe Superman trying and failing to bring Superman back to life and then moves onto another Superman, his wife Lois Lane and son. A lot of Supermen. It is very confusing and there's no synopsis to help
