Wow. This is a beautiful book. It has a quiet power that had me compelled to keep reading. There are some awful, dark parts to this book but Eddie is a compelling character. I love how the author didn’t give too much detail about the trauma in the lives of the adults surrounding him but left the reader to see the impact all that has on Eddie.

What an ending. Was confused by the timelines at times but overall enjoyed reading Eddie’s story as he grew up.
