This book is the cross between a memoir a self-help book, but also a biography we have Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Taking place in the 90s we have a reconciliation between student and teacher almost 20 years after Mitch Albom has graduated from university, but unfortunately this reunion is limited because we the  readers knows that Morrie is dying. This book is filled of great reminders. A lot of reviews say that this is overly sentimental and too sweet like a Hallmark movie which is a fair critique, but I believe for many people these are reminders that are needed in a world where we put materials and success stories above our own stories. It’s a bit of advice and short stories from both Mitch and Morries life. I think this would receive a higher rating from me if the topics were fewer and more focused upon and if we had more live interviews. I listened to the audiobook and there was an interview at the end between Mitch and Morrie, which I enjoyed. An example of this is What my Bones Know by Stephanie Foo, she shares her recording sessions and I think this book could’ve benefited from something like that. Still a great read, four stars.
Finishing this book on a Tuesday is purely coincidental, but feels so much more meaningful

I absolutely love this book. It is one of my all time favorite books. I was originally told to read this book as a summer reading assignment my sophomore year of high school. I saw it on my book shelf more recently and decided to pick it up and casually read it while working my summer job.

If I were to recommend only one book for someone/anyone to read, I'd pick this one
