Atticus is hands down a poetry favorite of mine. Such beautiful words.

4.5 stars. Oh, Atticus.

I have always been a huge fan of his poetry and the images he includes. It's incredible the way he can take all that is beautiful and magical about life and weave those things into so few words. His poems at times can be short, but they always pack a punch.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one in a coffee shop over my lunch hour. Can't wait to read more of his work in the future.

It's hard to review a collection of mostly blank pages, sprinkled with brief sentences. Sure, there are some poems that do nothing for you, some that seem meh and some that bring a flood of emotion. Some feel general enough to bring you in and others feel like a small snippet into the poet's life. One fact that is clear is the bigger picture: it is obvious what Atticus is trying to do and they achieve it. Magnificently. All of the feels; either in the 20 minutes you devour the collection or in each random 10 second moment when you pick it up because you need it.

Instagram poetry: the book. Not my cup of tea. The poems are barely even actual poems, just “deep” quotes some desperate guy might use to flirt with the girl he fancies over text. There’s little depth, nothing to ponder over. Disgustingly romantic. My queer, aroace self was not thrilled. Given the intriguing title and book cover, I’m overall quite disappointed, but at least this copy was a gift rather than a personal purchase.
