A laugh out loud, bursting with personality, stunning love story between two childhood friends who stumble upon a love so much deeper than either of them could have prepared for. This story was absolutely adorable, I loved this disability report, just like when I read Out on a Limb by Hannah, this book felt cozy and romantic and joyful. So calming to my soul. The Sapphic romance of the year for me, honestly.

Quick, cute read. Would have liked to see some flashbacks or something to deepen the existing relationship and give more character depth.

The premise was relatable (I definitely had a crush on a number of my childhood 'girlfriends') and the chemistry between the characters was fun, easy, and natural.

Overall, a great read. I loved how lighthearted it was, I truly didn't have a single thought about the real world while reading it which was nice.

this was SO CUTE!!! and also hot as hell, which i was not expecting. short and sweet and made me blush and have all the butterflies! the main reason this isn’t a 5 star read for me was the constant jumping ahead in time - it felt like almost each new chapter, we were jumping several days or weeks and it felt almost like we were missing out. other than that, this was such a fun read (i literally devoured it in a day), and i can’t wait to read more of hannah’s books!!

⚠️: homophobia, religious bigotry, lesbophobia, abandonment, infidelity

I’m torn about my review of this novella. I actually almost DNFed a couple of chapters in because I was hating the writing style (and the first person point of view! UHG!!) but it just seemed silly to do that when there’s less than 200 pages. I’m glad I decided to keep going, though. Once our two leading ladies actually got together, it got a better. I still don’t love the writing or the perspective, but there was a lot of heart in the story, plus a LOT of spice (with an emphasis on consent!) for such a short story. I also appreciated the neurodivergent rep - both ADHD and autism. I very much related to Clara’s ADHD thought process that lead to baking instead of making dinner lol If you need a quick read, it’s worth picking up.

This was a cozy and heart-warming sapphic Christmas novella. A childhood-friends-to-lovers meets fake dating set-up, with some added small-town adventures. I was initially anxious about the premise for fake dating, but was glad Clara was honest at the right moment and that this continued to be a low-conflict story throughout. Features bi-awakening and a top-tier epilogue.

The story was enjoyable and generally delivered on the blurb. However, I really wish there'd been more tension and build-up. The characters just sort of went from fake dating to real dating at the drop of a hat before they even got to the big events they were supposed to be fake dating for. We also barely got to see those events and nothing much interesting happened at them. It was sort of anticlimactic in a way.
