I think Mercy Thompson is one of my favorite series. As always, there's adventure, action, love, a mystery to solve!

Seriously, if you like werewolves and urban fantasy, what are you doing if you haven't even tried this series?

This is a reread and I forgot about the twist until I got there.

Quick Thoughts: I have to admit that it wasn't till the last book that I really liked Adam but now he is just awesome. I loved having part of this story told from his POV (even if it made the timeline a little topsy/turvy) because it showed even more insight into his character. This whole edition was a bit of a wild ride up to the very end. The only thing I will say is pay close attention to everything because it all comes into play in the last few chapters. I can't wait for the next one :)

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Lorelei King / George Newbern , Length: 11 hrs and 17 mins

This was different than the rest of the series because George joined to do Adam's POV chapters. Now I love George, I don't think I have ever listened to anything by him that I didn't fall in love with. Same here BUT it took me like two chapters to get him as Adam. After that I was good to go. Lorelei is Mercy to me and always will be. She brought her A game in this outing and really worked well with George! Bring on the next one!!!!!!!

Patricia's Briggs' Mercy Thompson series is like good comfort food. Not necessarily complex, but satisfying. She writes interesting and believable characters and makes you root for them. She develops the world as she goes so that in each book the context is constantly evolving. I'm not sure I liked the strange not-quite-chronological stacking of chapters she did in this book, but it worked in the end.

I could see re-reading this series at some point.

This one was boring. Like I was almost falling asleep at my desk boring. I LOVE that we got Adams POV but the storyline here was dull.
