A really really interesting read with thought provoking themes and moral questions. Was a quick read too, which I always enjoy. Some threads were difficult to link up and I feel could have done with more explanation, because it felt like not too much happened. Also, the ending was a little abrupt. But then I loved that the court room setting was the focus when things were happening, and the cultural and societal context was really interesting, and also very harrowing. I also think it was poignant that the reader was left to reflect on their own perception of justice. A good read overall!

Offenbar bin ich mit falschen Erwartungen an das Buch herangegangen, daher ist es leider hinter ebendiesen zurückgeblieben. Außerdem bin ich mit der Darstellung der weiblichen Charaktere in diesem Buch mehr als unzufrieden.
