Don't get me wrong, the stories are well written but they are...familiar. Too familiar. I've read them all before, there's nothing new or startling about any of them. Also as a person of African descent, i must admit to feeling sick to death of the Africa-slaves-voodoo presentation. There is much more to Africa than this. Not all of Africa was into voodoo and Africa is not homogenous. If yo must write about the continent, explore it, discover it realise the richness and diversity of its culture before settling on worn out tropes.
