For the love of God if you loved the Mara Dyer Trilogy do yourself a favor and DONT READ THIS. Do not pick this book up I repeat don’t do it. It’ll ruin everything for you.

Honestly I hated Noah the entire time I read this and that makes me so sad bc I ended the first trilogy really loving Mara and Noah and now I’m just like JESUS CHRIST I CANT.

The entirety of this book was Noah and Goose getting drunk, seeing ghosts and exploring Noah’s family manor, talking to randos, Noah overthinking and overreacting to EVERYTHING, Maras G-ma appearing to deliver crpyptic messaging and all around NO PLOT. Seriously there’s no plot like how did they publish this? How did Michelle think this was a good idea?? I fucking love the lady seriously and I love her first trilogy but she’s ruining everything she built! There is so much exposition about all these powers and shit but I still don’t understand what’s happening.

So fucking sad I can’t.

2 stars bc the last page of Noah’s POV was interesting but that’s it.

Nothing is happening yet everything is happening

Edit: I am so dumb, I binge read this series to know how it ends only to learn that the third (technically 6th) book isn’t even out yet and probably will never release because there’s been no updates. IM GOING TO GO CRY.

I am eager to get my hands on the third book in Noah’s series just so that it can clear this mess up. I love the Mara trilogy & I love Noah’s perspective, but so far this book has my lowest rating at 3 stars. Fingers crossed that the next book is back up to par with its predecessors!

Hello filler book! Honestly, parts of this were interesting, but this was a definite filler novel and I feel like the ending of this book proves that.

I received this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

The Mara Dyer series was one of my favourites so I was thrilled when the Noah Shaw series was announced.
I was excited to be back with all of the characters and that it would answer the questions I still wanted answers to. The first book was a decent re-introduction. It had its faults but it was enjoyable. After reading the second installment, I feel like I have more questions and am more confused than ever.

This book definitely suffered from middle-book syndrome. It was pretty dull and nothing actually happened until about 80% in. More characters were introduced, plot lines appeared out of nowhere, and a lot of things that happened were too convenient and totally unrealistic. With all of that being said, the ending was pretty shocking and has made me want to keep going with the series instead of abandoning it like I had originally intended.
