Haha, I really liked this one!

This book is about a Supercat and his owner. Yes, a supercat. Apparently James his cat got turned into a superhero thanks to a mouldy sock. (No, no, just don't ask. :P) Now he can speak x languages, can move super fast, and various other things.

It was a bit confusing, but then I guess that is what happens when one reads the second book before the first one. My defence though is that I didn't know this was a second book. I just saw the book at the library and took it with me because it looked oh so much fun. So I had no clue what happened with Count Backwards in the previous one. Nor do I really get how they can keep hiding the fact the cat is now super.

This time we have birthdays (both James and the Queen), and of course things don't always go right. Thankfully, Supercat is there to save the day and destroy the party poopers.

It was all quite fun, and exciting, I definitely loved the Queen and how she was portrayed in this one.

I do wish James was a bit more honest about his present from Supercat. I know you don't want it, then let him know. Now you are just hurting his feelings with all the excuses.

I was also happy with Supercat, often you would see pets who turn into superbeings get all cocky, annoying, and frustrating. But not this one. Supercat was really friendly, nice, and sweet. He saw him and his owner as a team. Together they solved stuff, together they save the world.

The book is also full of illustrations, and I loved them all. They made the book oh so much more fun than it already was. :)

All in all, great book, would recommend, and I will definitely have to see if one of my libraries has book 1.

Such a fun story! Puns abound as we hear the tale of Super cat and his sidekick James! Beware of Count Backwards!
