I didn't love it and I didn't hate it either. This story was easy going. It wasn't tense or anything of the sort.At one point in the story I did find it predictable, but besides that it was good.To be honest I don't think I would read the rest of this series since it wasn't as great as I thought.

Surprisingly captivating. I love how once you find out about Crystals abilities you go down the rabbit hole with her.
this story has the reader on the edge of their seats wanting to know what happens next!
I think everyone should give it a chance.

I would probably rate this book a 2.5/5 (somewhere between "it was ok" and "I liked this book"), but I'll round up because I recognize that I am not part of this book's target audience.

Pros: quick read; a rare YA novel that isn't centered on relationships/boys; mildly interesting, albeit predictable, storyline

Cons: 2D characters (Villain is obviously a villain and has no redeeming qualities, protagonist is obviously a protagonist and has no damning qualities); mom's character and relationship seems unrealistic (
Spoiler how does any adult in a LTR not discuss faith/religion before the proposal?!
; everyone's way too cool with the psychic thing, and no one seems to mention that a major drawback of proclaiming to be a psychic is that no one would believe you.

This goes on the list of random books that have just always existed in my memory so when you find them for free on Google books, you read them quickly and stay up way to late

Thanks to Alicia Rades my TBR is getting longer and longer! I love a good mystery/suspense novel. This book is a great first book to start off a series! I can't wait to see how Crystal grows in her abilities! I can totally picture her as a psychic Miss Marple or Jessica Fletcher! Great job, Alicia!
