Well this was a novella. I thought it was well written and the varying horror--eye, parasite/fungi--worked wonderfully together. I wish there were more fungi / parasite horror; maybe I haven't found them yet. The dreaminess was fantastic and set the tone so perfectly.

This short little read of weird, beautiful fiction takes concepts like personal narratives, oceanic consciousness and compartmentalization? and makes them concrete, with some very weird and often disturbing results. I loved it. Descriptions are often grotesque and plot is very confusing, but that’s as it should be.Β
