I read the first book in the club serenity series before I found out about the club avalon series and omg I’m so glad I found this series and went back to it!!! SO GOOD. I can already tell (based on some spoilers I had reading club serenity’s book first) that I’m going to be an emotional mess this whole series. I loved it so much. I love Bodie & I can’t wait to see how Alicia becomes who she is in Lesson in Trust!

This book missed the mark for me on most levels. I struggled with the BDSM dynamics in this story, but also with the relationship between the heroine and all the characters. I didn't feel like consent was taken seriously, or that the heroine was able to consent. I felt like the heroine's mental health was an afterthought and that really bothered me. The suspense part of this book did interest me, but overall I found this book to be a struggle.

 This book was great.

I really liked how Bodie and Braun got to know each other, and how their relationship developed. There was a lot of communication, and even though Bodie sometimes acted like a brat, I completely understood her, and I liked how Braun made her deal with it.

I liked the plot, but I thought that there could have been more scenes at the end. At first, Bodie and Braun are getting to know each other and building a relationship. Then Bodie has to deal with her parents and the aftermath of that.

I really liked all the side characters and how they all had their own personalities, but I wanted to see more of them interacting with Bodie and Braun. I think my favourites were Jasper and Connie, but I wanted to see more of Bodie and Connie’s sessions together, and there could have been more scenes showing Bodie becoming friends with Jasper.

I definitely want to continue with this series, even though I’m not sure if I like Anarchy yet.

A few spicy scenes but this book was also pretty heavy on the trauma. It was good but had some very dark parts
