The narrative diverges a lot bit from the bigger picture, but this edition helps us go deeper into the plans of the side characters come into fruition, and to see how the relationship between Hades and Persephone is continuing to deepen.
Graphic: Cursing, Mental illness, Misogyny, and Violence
Moderate: Death, Infidelity, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Toxic friendship, and Sexual harassment

Beware of overbearing mothers, internalized misogyny, women putting other women down, guilt/ shame after a brutal mistake, resurrecting the death, post-traumatic stress disorder, financial struggles, and isolation from peers.littleredferret's review

All the characters are essentially 'morally grey' - and its interesting how the author attempts to work around the pre-existing drama within Greek mythology.
For example: Zeus always cheats, kills, and generally does evil things when he is disrespected or unhappy with other beings agency; Hera stays with him despite it, yet she is fierce and amazing. How to deal with that? How to present characters in such a way that these things can coexist. The same applies to Apollo, who is loved by his fierce twin sister Artemis. How to present a rapist, while also showing him as someone who is loved by the lovely Artemis? Why would she?
