Loved the book, very emotional and had the right amount of drama.

It was better than the first book, and I did enjoy it but I still think it’s kind of dumb. I liked it though, honestly, and I enjoyed how the main characters took others on their journeys with them.

“Trying to climb over into someplace where Ky might be. And even if he's not there, I'll find him. I'll go over again and again until I've finally crossed to where he is.”

Ky has been sent away and Cassia is determined to find Ky and to reunite with him. The first book only had one point of view, but this book has two different POVs: Cassia and Ky’s. For someone who has had a very easy life in the Society, Cassia experiences many hardships and finds out many ugly truths in her journey to find Ky. We also find out what the blue tablet does! And what is Xander hiding....?

Overall, a great second book!
The only thing that made me sad is that Cassia and Ky had to split up again at the end of the book.

I liked it, but I just loved the first one so much, that it was hard to match up to. There was one place where the dword showed up, but nothing more. It does have more violence to it, but it's not descriptive or gory.

Wow, this book was slow! I wasn't super impressed with Matched to begin with, but I also didn't hate it and wanted to give Crossed a fair shot. I feel like almost nothing happened! Most of this story consisted of listening to Cassia and Ky's teenage-angsty thoughts in the form of far too much poetry. The writing is set up in a way to make you feel like major secrets and plot twists are being revealed, but it just falls flat. I'm going to give the third book a read just to see if it picks up at all and hopefully it doesn't turn into a DNF.

still very quickly readable : in a day!
i honestly think that this book deserves a special rating between a 3.75 and 4, knowing that I rated the first a 3.75 and that this one is better but not a 4 (I hope it’s clear)
way more adventurous and has more « mystery » and suspense to it than the first one, I am definitely ready to read the third book of this trilogy and waiting for all of my answers being answered in it
even though this one did answer some, it’s logical for them all not to be answered at once because it’s a trilogy, duh!
still a fantasy-dystopian-romantic book with the girl having to chose between to guys, this series is still perfect after book hangovers!
