An enjoyable and sometimes touching read:) Felix may be the title character but this is also a lovely peek behind the scenes and a chance to follow the lives of the great team of staff.

I think if you had not read the first Felix book, you can easily pick this one up and feel comfortable. Pretty sure first 8 chapters were just recap of life from the first book. Scene setting as it were. It felt quite repetitive all through out really (to bulk the book out). What I really enjoyed were the heartwarming anecdotes about all the charity work and the impact on people’s lives (staff & fans) when Felix does important meet & greets. Poor Bolt was confined to the last few chapters. The title being what it is, I was expecting much more about him.

It wasn’t long after reading the first book that a colleague came into the office after a work trip and told us she had weirdly spotted a cat on a train station, ‘Huddersfield?’ I asked. ‘How did you know?’ she replied. I explained I had read the book not that long ago and she said she was off to get a copy.
And it was nice to meet back up with Felix, although it did make me laugh when they say at 7 she is getting on and are talking about her retirement, I mean you should see my 17 year old girl go! That said there are some heart warming stories and the amount the station staff and Felix have raised for charity is fabulous. The appearance of Bolt is pretty late on in the book but he really does sound like a cheeky chappy, and the social media posts show just how cute he is. I guess there may well be a third instalment at some point.

Bolt doesn’t actually show up until the last third of the book. Forgivable, since Felix is so darn engaging. I did not expect this many tears while reading. A colleagues death, Felix growing older (and nearly getting kicked by a patron! On purpose!!), a terminally ill visitor ... several times I had to swallow the tears back as I read. But overall, very sweet and totally engaging.

I've been following on Facebook Felix, the Queen of Floof, for a long time and love the first book.
This one met all my expectations and I found it engrossing and entertaining.
It was great to know more about Ms Felix and Bolt the apprentice.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

This is just fun from the first page to the last. A proper antidote to all the stress and tension of modern life it is unashamedly upbeat and even manages to strike a positive note in the face of tragedy. Felix and his human helpers at Huddersfield station were like old friends by the time I had finished reading this. A beacon of positivity in a negative world.

Full Steam Ahead, Felix by Kate Moore is the sequel to [b:Felix the Railway Cat|32510573|Felix the Railway Cat|Kate Moore|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1483713469l/32510573._SY75_.jpg|53108229] (2017). Felix is the original station cat at Huddersfield Station who since 2015 has taken the cat loving core of Facebook by storm and has used her fame to fundraise for a variety of charities.

At the release of the first book, Felix's fame was just taking off at a worldwide scale, with her promotion to Senior Pest Controller. By this book, she is a worldwide phenom with the station now routinely receiving guests from around the world who are there just for a chance to spot the cat.
