Avenida Nevsky: não gostei muito, principalmente comparando com os outros contos. Achei banal.
O Retrato: brilhante. Misterioso e horripilante, com uma boa lição de moral pelo meio.
Diário de Um Louco: Confuso, com um final atordoante.
A Caleche: esquecível.
O Nariz: Estranho, mas muito interessante e cativante.
O Capote: Brilhante. Adorei as caracterizações.

4.5 !!! this is was .... an experience for sure. my fave tales are "the portrait" and "diary of a madman", they were haunting beautiful. when a. belyj said something along the lines of “gogol's laughter is mixed with fear, almost terror: petersburg tore gogol to shreds, and he clings on irony as a self-defence mechanism; in him laughter doesn't rule, but terror does" well! i Felt that
