I actually really enjoyed this I think the world is really cool and the way the characters are written there's actually alot of depth to them and I ended up liking alot of them. I will say the pacing was kinda weird and confusing in some bits but it was still good.

So good!! I loved the worldbuilding in this, it was such a good mix between modern myths & the original ones, the easter eggs were A+ Hades is so protective while still having that touch of Darkness™ and it was so delicious to see Persephone tap into her (more dark than expected) powers. We need more romances that are series, I'm so ready to continue with this (though I wouldn't mind some more stories in this universe) (Apollo & Sibyl PLEASE)

This book was fun for a quick read. I’ll probably read the follow up books. It’s not amazing, but engaging enough. The sex scenes do get a bit repetitive and the pacing goes a bit too quick at times.

'Tis the season for Hades/Persephone retellings, so it seems. In comparison to Neon Gods, this one definitely follows the structure of the original myth more closely, while also being set in a modern (imagined) world. The world building was a bit more apparent in this version as well. Less steamy than N.G., but that's not necessarily a poor critique. This book felt more like a CW show, whereas Neon Gods belongs on HBO.
